Primavera Playlist

Primavera sound barcelona The Blur, The Vaccines o Los Planetas los mas esperados lo mejor del primavera sound

OK so I’m seriously late with this. I can only put it down to being in a sense of unimaginable shock and despair to be back. Even looking at the Primavera line up was enough to cause a lump in the throat let alone delving back into the song catalogue that soundtracked such an amazing festival.

As with any festival you can’t see it all and with a line up that good there was a lot I missed. Disclosure, Fuck Buttons, Death Grips, Simian Mobile Disco and Christopher Owens are just a handful that I had to sacrifice.

So with that in mind the below playlist is just taken from what I did get to see. Highlights were Mac DeMarco both commanding the Pitchfork stage and playing in the park in the blistering heat the next day (culminating with him raising his girlfriend on his shoulders in serenader ‘Still Together’).

Other massive highlights were watching Woods and Vivian Girls supergroup The Babies in that same park in front of a handful of people.  Parquet Courts at a venue in town before the festival even started caused a riot in the pit. Blur had the feel of the best wedding reception or new year party you could ever be at. Wu Tang, despite the absence of Raekwon and Method Man still put on phenomenal master class in 90s Cypher (and they had a DJ that scratched with his feet?!) and sat on the steps absorbing a truly cosmic scene unfold at Crystal Castles is a memory that will stay with me forever.

Anyway here is my Primavera journey, enjoy!
