LA duo Deap Vally played The Haunt in Brighton last night to a wild sold out crowd. Singer and guitarist Lindsey Troy told the crowd that Brighton is a lot like LA and although the cold winter weather outside wasn’t reflective of this, inside The Haunt felt like the Summer of love in the 60s. The band have the same feral intensity of early White Stripes or Black Keys and by the time they closed with single ‘End Of The World’ the atmosphere was frenetic. Definitely worth a watch when they hit these shores again. Oh and playing barefoot onstage while swigging red wine out of the bottle, very bohemian.
